By sharing off-peak periods, customers can help the environment by minimizing energy consumption during periods of high demand, as well as save up to 10% by reducing energy consumption with mindful use of non-essential appliances.
With this internal portal, we streamlined the process of planning service outages. We reduced the manual entries from customers and team members across multiple applications, going from 2 hours per request to now 10 mins. Additionally, we have included automated customer messaging for when the scheduled date of the outage approaches, which helps if it's laundry day!
Duke Energy is One of America’s largest energy holding companies, serving 8.2 million customers. We created a new customer-facing tool that allows users to report street and area light outages and issues. This customer-facing public cloud application created a foundation for future analytical insights to improve operational efficiencies.
